Korzinka welcomes new Halal supplier of frozen meat

Life of Korzinka

November 21, 2023

21.11.2023, Tashkent, Uzbekistan — Halal-certified frozen beef is now on the shelves.

Korzinka, the largest retail chain in Uzbekistan, has entered into an open-ended contract for the import of frozen, Halal-certified meat from well-known Indian producer, Kamil.

The first supplies reached Korzinka at the end of October and the products are already available in all branches of the network, across the country.

Halal meat Kamil

Korzinka is always looking for new ways to expand its range and offer competitive prices to its customers and for some time has been looking on the Indian market for a supplier that was able to meet the highest quality standards.

The result was an agreement with the Halal-certified Kamil brand. Cooperation with the new supplier will allow Korzinka to expand its range and effectively meet demand by providing quality meat, at affordable prices.

India is one of the world’s biggest meat suppliers

Low domestic demand means that India has been rapidly increasing beef exports since the 2000s. Livestock farming is the biggest agricultural sector, and the country has the world's largest cattle population.

This large production capacity, coupled with the high quality of its products, means that India now supplies 20% of the world's beef.

Customers include wholesalers and retailers in the USA and European countries and also the UAE, Egypt, and Malaysia.

Freshness and consistent quality

The beef is shock-frozen in India and sold in the frozen foods section in Korzinka stores.

The shock-freezing process means that Kamil meat remains juicy, fresh and tasty after defrosting maintains the stability of microbiological parameters, remains safe and does not shrink and lose weight in the same way as traditionally frozen meats. Kept frozen at -18°C, Kamil meat will keep for up to 1 year.

Now, in addition to chilled meat at competitive prices, Korzinka customers have the opportunity to purchase conveniently frozen Kamil meat.

“At Korzinka, we try to provide our customers with as much choice as possible when purchasing everyday goods.

To do this, we regularly update our assortment based on consumer preferences and we search out new, high-quality suppliers from around the world. Kamil meat is one of the results of this work.

We know that our customers expect the highest standards from Korzinka and we personally visited the production facility in India to make sure that the products met all our requirements.

Strict control of food safety and careful selection of suppliers is one of the ways that “Korzinka” is working to become better and better,” commented Sherzod Mahmudov, Director of Commercial Department.
